Viorel Ilișoi writes a book about Mihai Codreanu, a forgotten poet nowadays, but famous during the first half of the XXth century. By doing this, Viorel Ilișoi managed to create a genuine novel, biographical and historical at the same time, which has a much deeper significance than the mere facts it depicts. It pays homage to a peaceful world, with its people, for whom honour and art alone were sufficient grounds for a duel. (Luminița Corneanu)
